Please add the feature that shows you download speed say 1024kb/s or more, it should say mb/s and not kb/s...

Here is a examble I got from the internet:

When the download is less then mb/s, it should convert to kb/s

See example below:

Hi,

After installing FDM 5.0 alpha I could not access my emails in Outlook.com (IE10), the error message said something to the effect that 'Outlook.com cannot be connected right now, please try later'. I uninstalled FDM 5.0, reinstalled v.3.9.4.1472 and all is back to normal.

Thanks,

Mauri.

Bravo to the brand new UI. Thanks for your job!
Though I really love the design of 5.0 alpha, there are still some flaws that could be improved.
1.The header of the downlad list is not so properly designed.
The new UI put each column into a single line, and the problem is, the space is limited that some information may not show completely, such as "Name" group. Besides, the "Added" group is useless for most users imho.

Here are two popular downloaders from China. I think the designs of their group header and other details would do some help.

2.Since the new UI is powered by Chromium Embeded Framework, the file size now is much bigger than before - about 66M after installed. I've found the CEF library is rather huge - 24M, thus made a dowloader as heavy as an Internet browser. So, I want to know if this library could be slimed down to reduce file size. Does it mean the bigger the file size is ,the worse the performance is? If so, I prefer the 3.x versions.

You guys going to get the beta Of Windows 9 to play around and be really when it goes final so that FDM 5 will support it?

Thanks for all these updates and Bravo for the new GUI.
There are some options still missing ( i won't list them as they already are noticed in other posts )

I just have to say i hate the borders of the application window on my windows 7 , it looks ugly compared to this fresh UI inside.
I use an AutoHotKey script to remove them , making the main window non moveable ...
Could it be possible to have no borders at all ? ( i mean for example the title bar ) like some other "metro style" applications ?

Another bravo to the new UI. Finally I will be able to keep using FDM when v3.x support has stopped.

Cool interface.I love Free Download Manager 5.
I can get file size before downloading.
not found restart download in the context menu and group folder.
Free Download Manager 5 takes 70,000K memory.FDM 3.9.4 is 7,000K.
And finally can you give me show notification window/dialog on downloads completion ?
Thanks you

I just tried Build 3048 (2014-08-19) and it's writes stuff on the disk like crazy even with just 2 sections. The disk usage go up to 100% for the whole download and barely ever go below 90%. I used the exact same settings as/with FDM 3.9.4 to compare and 3.9.4 didn't need even 1/3 of what FDM 5 Alpha uses.

Hello!
Access to the first image you attached is restricted, could you re-upload it to another service?
If you're seeing something like 5300KB/s instead of 5MB/s, then that's a bug, it should work the way you expect it to.
(Please check out these guidelines before reporting a bug to make it easier for us to detect the problem: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/boar ... =1&t=15624 )

Thank you for cooperation!

Hello!
We can't imagine how that could be related to FDM, but we'll definitely check,
Stay tuned,

Hello!
Please help us out and send in more information when you encounter a problem/bug,
Could you attach a screenshot? A reboot didn't help?
What exactly "froze", what is the deinstaller or the OS itself?

Thank you for cooperation,

Hi, traxex!

1. Thanks for the feedback, we're trying out different layouts, this one:
download/file.php?id=17
seemed a little too bulky,
We're considering all suggestions,
We might add different skins to choose from at some point,

2. Sometime in the future we are planning to release a UI powered by a similar IE framework, but that's not going to happen any time soon, unfortunately.

We appreciate your feedback,
