Hi

Many problems with 3.0.5 addon, several websites do not operate properly, especially buttons are like disabled.
Unfortunately, adding those sites to FDM blacklist changes nothing...

I have 64 bit FF57 and it recognises it just fine.

You know you have to install the extension from the options menu in FDM?

Yes, and it tells me FIrefox isn't installed. When I additionally install the 32bit version of Firefox this is fixed. I can then install the extension and it is then installed on both 32 and 64 bit versions of Firefox.

The FDM 3.0.5 Firefox 57 add on extension does some weird stuff.
1. It tries to download random image png and jpg files from web pages when not asked to.
2. It totally stops the loading of Sophos XG firewall Control Center page after login, breaking the js actions of that page and an access denied error in the js query is generated. Disabling the extension and refreshing the page enables it again.

Look forward to the updated extension.

Even weirder stuff is happening!
Just now the extension stopped working. Just like that. It was working fine a few hours ago, now it doesn't.
I removed it, re-installed it, updated to v3.0.5 and still nothing! It just won't work. When I click on a link to a file I want do Download, the browsers prompts me what to do with the file. The extension IS NOT CATCHING ANYTHING.
At first the issue was that it was catching stuff it wasn't supposed to catch and now it's the complete opposite, it's not catching anything!!!
What the hell??????

Additionally, all right-click menu functionality disappeared from Firefox.
It's like FDM isn't even installed (of course, Context menu is enabled in FF options)

Well, after SEVERAL uninstalls/reinstalls and logging off/on, I got it working again.

The Firefox add-on definitely makes problems. I have to keep it disabled to have sites working properly.

Install FDM extension 3.0.5 on FF57 x64
1. Open aliexpress.com
2. Log into your account
3. Put any good in the cart
4. Open cart
5. Try to "Buy from this seller"
6. A new page will be open, but there will be only two options:
- "Select your shipping information"
- "Review and confirm your order (1 items)"
The 3d "Payment method" is MISSING!

Found another problem. I wanted to pay my cell phone bill, so I went to www.entel.cl, but I couldn't log in. I had to disable the extension to be able to log in.

Posting this just in case:

Firefox 57.0 x32 on x64 Win 10 Pro N
If you install 64 bit FDM app it won't work with 32 bit Firefox (at least I couldn't get it to work fast enough). After reinstalling FDM as x32 - works like a charm.

All the links with no extension that have been reported to start download seem to work OK now with FDM WebExtension v.3.0.6. I haven't tested links with broken layout or login form for Humble Bundle, aliexpress or any other website yet.

The latest 3.9.7 build 1638 would not install the Firefox 3.0.3 extension in FF57 32 or 64 bit versions. And version 5 would not install the extension in the 64 bit version of FF57. I had to install the 32 bit version of FF57 then use FDM v5 to install the extension. Once the extension was installed it worked for everything - both versions of FF and FDM. So after getting the extension installed I deleted FDM v5 and the 32 bit version of FF57. Now FDM 3.9.7 works with the 64 bit version of FF57.

It's because of missing actions in installer. The installer should remove the old (legacy) extension before installing the new one (WebExtension) or the new FDM build will try to use the legacy extension which is blocked by Firefox. I have already explained it here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17330&p=45017#p45017
When dealing with FDM 5.1, its installer fails in a similar manner. I hope both installers will be fixed in the next builds.
