Free Download Manager: FDM 'special offer' still appears on menu

I un-ticked the option in settings, EXIT-ed out of FDM and re-started FDM

but it still appears

the problem being when I (or my friends) go to click on 'About Free Download Manager"
and accidentally click on 'Special offer' it LOOKS like the program has been hacked!!

this is not a complaint, more a concern about what it appears to be.

It's some kind of misunderstanding, I think.
1. If this option is active, you should see window with special offer ad when starting FDM or once a day, with no user action.
2. The "Special offer" option should be always seen in the menu. It should be grayed out and inactive when unticked in FDM options.

Just tested and confirmed - it downloaded the file and has the current time stamp attached.

FDM 5.1.35.7092 (fe70279)

The next thing is that on my computer the firefox extension hasn´t been updated to 3.0.11 automatically.
I had to to this manually.

Hi, please install the latest version of FDM and go to Settings | Browser integration. Click Firefox'es "Verify if extension is installed" link.

That´s what I have already done.

But I had to reinstall the 3.0.6 firefox extension again, because the 3.0.11 version started to capture and download random images from sites which I have visited during the last hours, and captured links which it shouldn´t capture. Same problems as we have already experiened with one of the former versions 3.0.x

Now version 5.1.36 is out.

(which I have already mentioned above).

Great dark theme i love it.
i tried downloading and encountered an issue:
the installer was giving error multiple source files corrupt, i found it was kaspersky internet security giving me this and detecting packeted.win32.dico.gen trojan; that's why the installer was not completely downloaded.
just to let you know and fix by next release, or reporting to kaspersky to remove the detection.

I'm giving FDM 5.x current one more day and then I am reverting to the build that has server time still working.

That is my #2 most important feature that has kept me using FDM over a lot of other methods / software. Unless one of the devs is willing to put a definite time on when that feature will start working again on newer versions of FDM.

Not trying ot be rude, nor demanding, but I absolutely rely on this feature as I archive a lot of my downloads, and using server time allows me to quickly see when I have downloaded something I already have archived (and another benefit is that is shows me if the more recent download is actually any newer than my archived file or not).
