Hello,
This is an unusual issue. We never saw it and was never getting such reports. We need some interaction with you to understand and fix (if possible) this. Are you ready to spend some of your time?

Great, many thanks.Alex wrote:Now FDM6 periodically checks only the drives the user downloads on.
Unfortunately I have no Linux PC with FDD so I can't help with it. There may be some helpful info in automount related documents, I suppose.Alex wrote: Unfortunately, it seems that Linux OS lacks these events (generally)

The issue should be fixed in the next update.

its useful to know if the server has ignored the multi content chunk so you dont pause it and lose your download progress aswell as monitoring the individual connection status
i like the speed throttling options but ill stick to 5.x for now even thou its buggy on catalina when it gets opened indirectly
Hello,
Do you really need the log tab? We could just add some special indication for the downloads with no resume support (like FDM3 which has one).
are you able to do an indication that if 5 of the 10 connections has stopped or not?
eg 10 chunked connections from a flakey host over time 6 connections of the 10 crawl to a halt then error out, the log would indicate this as such so you would be able to restart the downlload making those connections back in the pool

We can show total number of connections for the download in its General tab.

Why do you need to restart it? Because of too low downloading speed?

Re: FDM 6.7 Release Candidate
Hello,
This is by design and not a bug. Let's suppose you started 3 downloads: A,B,C of the same size. Let's suppose FDM downloads them one by one. So you will see this scenario (in your "design"): download progress goes from 0 to 30 then resets to 0, then goes to 50, then resets again. In current design it will smoothly go from 0 to 100. So when there will be only C downloading with e.g. progress of 50%, FDM will be showing 33.3%+33.3%+33.3%/2 = 83.3%.
Do you like your "design" more? Feel free to create a separate topic with the suggestion then. I will then create polling there.

Re: FDM 6.7 Release Candidate
So far I'm having this bug where the download suddenly stops as in download speed 0, not failed, and no errors. It happens with youtube downloads, not always but most of the times and usually happens at 90's percents. Then if i hit pause and resume, it continues the download normally

Interesting. So the downloads work when you pause and resume?

Correct, due to only half the connections still working, would help debug the above issue aswell as it sounds like the chunked connections are dead
Re: FDM 6.7 Release Candidate
its been a long time since I have even logged on to this board.
So I see 6 is in RC, OK.. I guess its about ready to take the top spot and eliminate 3, 5, and what ever else there is below 6, unless 6.7 ends up being "7"
So my question as a still 3.xx user, when will I be able to remove 3.xx and go with this 6.xx and have it function as well as 3.xx has all this time?
I read something about the fact , if you install anything over 3.xx, you can't go back to it? is that right?. I still like the simple and usable way this 3.xx works, it just D/L's (as long as the DSL is functional) well.
Thanks for keeping it free and ad free

Yes, it continues the download, also a common occurrence is that it gets stuck right at 99% when there's a few kb left. Pausing and resuming makes it finish
