Guest wrote:Thanks for all these updates and Bravo for the new GUI.
There are some options still missing ( i won't list them as they already are noticed in other posts )

I just have to say i hate the borders of the application window on my windows 7 , it looks ugly compared to this fresh UI inside.
I use an AutoHotKey script to remove them , making the main window non moveable ...
Could it be possible to have no borders at all ? ( i mean for example the title bar ) like some other "metro style" applications ?

Hello!
Could you send us an example/screenshot of a good UI with no borders? We can't quite grasp what you mean,
Thanks for the feedback!

Guest wrote:Hi,

After installing FDM 5.0 alpha I could not access my emails in Outlook.com (IE10), the error message said something to the effect that 'Outlook.com cannot be connected right now, please try later'. I uninstalled FDM 5.0, reinstalled v.3.9.4.1472 and all is back to normal.

Thanks,

Mauri.

We've looked into the issue but couldn't recreate it,
Please take a look at the answer given here:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/f ... 059667dad6

It could be that FDM and some other add-on are in conflict. If you're interested in helping us - please try switching off other add-ons you have, and let us know if you find the solution/problem,

Your feedback is appreciated.

not found restart download in the context menu and group folder.
Free Download Manager 5 takes 70,000K memory.FDM 3.9.4 is 7,000K.
And finally can you give me show notification window/dialog on downloads completion ?
Thanks you

Hello!
1) Restart download -- will do,
2) Notifications on download completion -- will do as well, a bit later,
Thank you for the feedback!

The disk usage go up to 100% for the whole download and barely ever go below 90%. I used the exact same settings as/with FDM 3.9.4 to compare and 3.9.4 didn't need even 1/3 of what FDM 5 Alpha uses.

Hello!
Most likely that's a bug, we couldn't recreate the situation you're describing, and we'll need additional info, e.g. the URL etc. Your cooperation is appreciated, it'd be great if you could send a bug report once again, but with additional information that might be helpful, please check out this topic:

Hpw to integrate FDM and Chromium Portable for Christ’s sake?
It states “Can't install Chrome monitoring” even after extension has been downloaded from Webstore.

It does it with any URL.
here one as example http://1.testdebit.info/fichiers/1000Mo.dat

I just noticed that FDM 5.0 doesn't respect settings set in "Miscellaneous" -> "Local file" too. I unchecked everything and it still creates hidden files. Also, regardless of the settings (sections and speed limit) set in the network part the speed is capped at ~10MB/s. I'm on a 1Gbps line and I usually average at 50MB/s~80MB/s+ with FDM 3.9.4 when I download using the link posted above. Also I used Firefox to download after getting 10MB/s with FDM 5.0 and I was getting 70MB/s.

Okay, thanks for the report! We haven't yet tested under these conditions (1Gbps line), we'll get on that as soon as we can. Appreciate your help!

Hello!
At this very moment that's simply not possible; it is on our TO-DO, though. The thing is - it isn't that simple with the portable version,

Right.
Just migrated from Chromium Portable to original Chromium, that’s installed to Program files (x86) folder.
And the integration issue pops up here too: “Can't install Chrome monitoring”.
Could you stop putting me, or us, into Google’s Chrome irons and do something about Chromium, please?

Okay, we will definitely look into what Chromium is offering as far as SDKs go,
Added to our TO-DO,
Thanks for the feedback.

Hello, John!
Some people do like it, some don't, but please elaborate a little more on what you don't like and how you think it could be improved, otherwise we'll never know,
Thanks for the feedback.
